Here is a typical conversation that we (mostly me) are having with Abraham right now. He's gonna be the end of me...but it's not going to be today!
Me: "Abraham...did you wash your hands?"
A: "Ummm, what?"
Me: "Did you wash your hands? Remember? Like we do everyday after school?"
A: "Oh! Um, no."
Me: "Ok, can you go do it please. Then you can have a snack."
A: "Ok"
Off he goes to the bathroom. Singing and dancing to 'Flogging Molly.' Lights on, and...nothing. Soon he comes back.
Me: "Ah, buddy, did you wash your hands?"
A: "Ummm, I don't remember."
Me: "You don't remember if you washed your hands?"
A: "Well, ummm. Yea, I mean no, well... I'm not sure."
Me: "You were just in the bathroom, it's at the end of the hallway. Are you sure you don't remember? Shall we go take a look at the sink? To see if it's wet?"
A : "Well, I, um can't wash them"
Me: "Why not?"
A: "I don't know. I can't remember."
Me : "Ok, so let me get this straight. You don't remember if you washed your hands, and you can't wash your hands, but you can't remember why?! BRAM! Go wash your hands!"
A : "ok" (sounding like Eore)
Again, the *long* approximately 25 feet, trip down the hallway. No water running, yet he is gone long enough to take a shower.
Me: "Abraham, did you wash your hands?! I didn't hear you singing your ABC's..." (we do this so they scrub long enough).
A: "I'm not sure!"
HOLY SMOKES! Not sure he's gonna make it!:)
Bram makes me so happy! I love the things things he says. I just wish you could post pictures of the facial expressions he does as he is saying things! And I just love that you have a blog!
